All about A Dog
Solo exhibition, Office in Tel Aviv Gallery, Tel Aviv, February- March 2009
Curator: Rachel Sukman

All about A Dog, my childhood drawings, those I selected to paint anew and those I chose to protect untouched, each of which allows me to cling to my past.
Childhood memories, a perfect photograph crumbling into small, minute photos, small daily pictures reviewed anew.
I rely on details from the photographs of my childhood and create in a cursory, swift language, a series of new situations accompanied by blotches of color.
These are new situations in which the original photograph no longer exists; an alternate picture takes its place, one in which the characters are bestowed a new life intertwined with my memories, loves and fears as well as whom I have become today. "That is the catch", it is 'all about a dog'.

The narrative unfolds my personal childhood story, but simultaneously, the collective memory of Israeli society in the 1970s emerges.
